Two Waukesha firefighters suffered minor injuries and a single-family home in the 2100 block of Melody Lane sustained an estimated $85,000 in damage from a fire early Wednesday, officials said.

The house was occupied when the fire broke out about 6 a.m. Residents were all able to evacuate. Waukesha Police and Fire Departments responded to the call.

The house sustained moderate to major fire, smoke and water damage in the attic, living room and fireplace. Officials said the cause of the fire centered on the fireplace/chimney area of the home.
