Police arrest three in two separate Waukesha robberies
Waukesha police have arrested three men in two separate armed robberies in December - one at GameStop and the other at Associated Bank.
Billy P. Hodges, 23, of Waukesha has been charged with two felony counts of armed robbery with threat of force accusing of robbing the GameStop, 1210 W. Sunset Drive, shortly after 8:30 p.m. Dec. 21, police said Monday.
According to a police news release, Hodges entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He fled after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money.
On Dec. 31, a Waukesha police officer saw a man who matched Hodges' description loitering in front of the George Webb restaurant on Delafield St. The man had a BB gun and police believe he was there to commit another robbery when the officer showed up.
Police believe another 23-year-old man acted as the getaway driver. He's expected to be charged with being party to a crime of robbery.
Hodges is set for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 10.
Police also arrested James N. Rivera, 30, of Waukesha on allegations of robbing the Associated Bank at 1270 W. Sunset Drive shortly before 1:30 p.m. Dec. 26. Rivera was arrested Jan. 3 based on an anonymous tip and has been charged with one count of felony robbery with threat of force. A preliminary hearing has been set for Tuesday.
Nobody was hurt in any of the incidents.
