An apartment development with 224 units is being proposed for a vacant site on Waukesha's east side.

Morgensen Realty Co., of Delafield, has submitted conceptual plans for the development, known as Broadway Commons, for a 19-acre site at 1910 E. Broadway St., east of Les Paul Parkway.

The apartments would be in four 50-unit buildings, as well as two 12-unit buildings, said Doug Koehler, city planner. The buildings would have two to three stories.

Morgensen didn't return my call seeking more information.

The city Plan Commission is to review the proposal at its Wednesday meeting.
