A Muskego Police Department sergeant has been placed on administrative leave following an arrest on Tuesday afternoon after a domestic abuse incident.

City of Waukesha Police were called to the residence in the 100 block of S. Porter Ave. at 4:31 p.m. in the City of Waukesha after the police log says the sergeant allegedly attacked a woman.

The logs say that the man was not armed and was locked out of the house after the incident.

According to logs, the woman refused ambulance assistance.

Muskego Police Chief Paul Geiszler said the Waukesha County Sherriff’s Department will conduct an internal investigation.

According to the Muskego Police Department website, the man has been with the City of Muskego Police Department since February 2000.

After serving as a second and third shift patrol officer and detective, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant in April 2007.
