Are you in the Homecoming spirit, yet?

Well, there's plenty of opportunities with three homecomings at area schools this weekend.

Carroll University is one of them and there will be activities and gatherings for reunion classes all weekend.

As a result, Barstow Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. from just south of Schneider Stadium to just south of Cook Street.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. Saturday with the lineup beginning on Martin and South streets.

The parade then goes south on Barstow Street from South Street, east on Wisconsin Avenue, south on East Avenue, west on College Avenue and north on Barstow Street. The parade ends at Barstow and Cook streets, just north of Schneider Stadium.

After the parade, the Carroll football team takes the field in a game against Lake Forest College at 3 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults, and $4 for seniors and children 12 and younger.

Before the game, a tailgate party in the parking lot on the east side of Barstow Street just south of the railroad tracks will feature the local band The LoveMonkeys from noon to 2:30 p.m. Food and beverage from Pioneer Pete’s Pit Stop will be available.

In addition to football, two art exhibits will be going on Saturday morning.

From 10 to 11 a.m. the exhibit "Drawn from Life," featuring the work of three alumni, takes place on the first floor of Main Hall.

A second alumni group exhibition that features 20 alumni in multiple media takes place from 11 a.m. to noon at the Marceil Pultorak Atrium Gallery of the Humphrey Memorial Chapel.

On Sunday, Carroll President Doug Hastad and his wife, Nancy, is hosting a pancake breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. at his house. There was a pre-registration for this gathering.

The weekend ends with soccer games at Schneider Stadium as the Carroll men's and women's teams battle Lawrence University at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.

High Schools hold Homecomings as well

In addition to Carroll, Homecoming festivities have taken place at Waukesha North and Waukesha South high school all week.

They culminate this weekend with football games and a dance.

Waukesha North hosts Muskego at 7 p.m, while Waukesha South hosts top-ranked Arrowhead at 7 p.m. Friday.

Both schools will then hold their dances on Saturday night.
