A Waukesha County judge Thursday denied a bid to suppress a statement Brian Pierick gave to investigators regarding a child enticement case.

Pierick, 49, of Sun Prairie, is charged with felony child enticement and publicly exposing his genitals, in connection with text messages he sent to a 17-year-old Waukesha boy in late 2010. He is the business and domestic partner of Timothy D. Russell, a former top aide to Gov. Scott Walker while Walker was Milwaukee County executive.

The evidence against Pierick surfaced during a secret John Doe investigation into Walker aides and associates that resulted in embezzlement charges against Russell.

Pierick's trial was moved to Jan. 12.

Russell wasn't charged in connection with the child enticement, but is listed as a co-conspirator of Pierick's in attempting to lure the 17-year-old into Russell's van for a sexual encounter. The boy declined to enter the van.
