Waukesha man charged in death of woman pushing vehicle

A Waukesha man was charged Monday with homicide by negligent operation of a motor vehicle in the hit-and-run death of a woman in a vehicle that had run out of fuel.

Edgar Montano, 28, was also charged with hit-and-run and hit-and-run involving death, according to state court records.

Jean Feagles, 48, was killed when her stalled vehicle was struck about 3:30 a.m. Saturday on Highway 59/Les Paul Parkway at E. Broadway, according to Waukesha police.

Feagles' 16-year-old daughter, who was injured, was treated at a hospital and released, police said.
