Pedestrian killed by train in Waukesha
Waukesha - A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train a S. West Ave at Progress Ave. about 11:40 a.m. Friday, Waukesha police said.
Police said the fatality may be a suicide, but the incident remains under investigation.
No other information about the pedestrian was immediately available.
The train was blocking traffic S. West Ave at Progress Ave as well as W. Sunset Drive as of about 12:45 p.m., police said.
The roads likely would be blocked for about another hour, police said.
Drivers were advised to use Highway 59/Les Paul Parkway as a detour until the train can be moved.
