Jury finds Waukesha man guilty in shootout with deputies
A Dane County jury on Friday night found a Waukesha man guilty of attempted murder for a shootout with sheriff's deputies last year at a town of Middleton motel, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.
Geoffrey A. Herling, 52, was convicted of firing at deputies Michael Zach and Garrett Page on July 12 at a Town of Middleton motel.
