A fifth-grade Waukesha schoolteacher died unexpectedly Tuesday morning after a medical procedure, Waukesha School District officials confirmed Wednesday.
Gayle Nicol, 58, taught at Bethesda Elementary School, 730 S. University Drive. She had been with the district for 22 years, according to Waukesha's human resources department.
An assistant for Waukesha Superintendent Todd Gray said Tuesday the district is waiting to release more details until it has more information about the incident.
