Waukesha chief blasts consolidation

Published on: 3/19/2012

In a letter released Monday afternoon City of Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack  does not mince words when he condems the idea of consolidating the police department's dispatch services with the Waukesha County Communications Center (WCC).

"Consolidating the City and County dispatch centers would clearly be an irresponsible decision. The citizens of the City of Waukesha would receive a lower level of service, which would compromise the safety of the citizens and employees of the City of Waukesha. I cannot in good conscience, reccommend consolidating with WCC," Jack says in the pages-long docment.

Jack sent the letter to preceed a meeting on April 17 to discuss the possible consolidation of services, read the entire letter.
