Waukesha tree lighting Friday

Waukesha’s tree lighting ceremony will be from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at 235 W. Broadway.
Music will be provided by the Salvation Army Brass Ensemble and caroling will be led by the Waukesha Choral Union. Mayor Jeff Scrima will lead the tree lighting countdown. Pastor Geoff Cravillion from Waukesha First Assembly of God will present a seasonal message.
The Salvation Army will be accepting nonperishable food donations for their food pantry as well as cash contributions at the event, which mark’s the kickoff for the Salvation Army's 2011 Red Kettle Campaign. Free hot chocolate will be provided by the Waukesha Downtown Business Association and The Steaming Cup.
