Wells Fargo Bank has filed a $7.7 million foreclosure lawsuit against the Michigan owner of a former Jewel-Osco and Sentry supermarket property in Waukesha.

The federal court lawsuit filed Monday in Milwaukee alleges that Waukesha LLC, based in Southfield, Mich., has defaulted on the property at 925 Highway 164. Wells Fargo filed the lawsuit as trustee for registered holders of related Banc of America Commercial Mortgage Inc. certificates.

The site was among eight put up for sale by Jewel-Osco in 2007 when it opted to exit the Milwaukee area market. It later became a Sentry Food Store, but now is vacant.
