Fire investigators were on the scene Sunday morning at a Waukesha apartment complex that suffered extensive damage in a blaze Saturday.

The cause of the blaze and extent of the damage at the 30-unit complex have yet to be determined, City of Waukesha Fire Department Battalion Chief Joe Vitale said Sunday.

Firefighters from six departments spent about two hours fighting the blaze in the three-story complex in the 200 block of W. North St. near downtown, officials said. Nobody was injured, and most residents were not home at the time the fire was reported, they said. The Red Cross and Salvation Army were called to assist those displaced by the fire.
