Waukesha - A 50-year-old man found dead Saturday in a wooded area near an old train depot in Waukesha may have been homeless and had health issues, according to a preliminary investigation by Waukesha police.

Police are not yet releasing the man's name because the investigation is ongoing, Lt. Ron Oremus said Monday.

Police received a call at 4:37 p.m. Saturday that a body had been found near the Canadian National Railway station at 120 E. Broadway, between Arcadian Ave. and E. Broadway.

The caller, who told police he had seen the man about an hour earlier, had kicked him and he did not move, according to a police dispatch report.

The caller had said he had talked with the man about two hours earlier, the report stated.
