Governor Walker and the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) announced a $940,000 investment in two programs benefiting youth and local businesses.  The first program, the 2014 Governor’s Summer Youth Program, places people between the ages of 14-24 in summer jobs.  At least 175 of the jobs will be in non-profit organizations.  The second program, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Program for Youth, provides on-the-job training and temporary work experiences.  DWD announced 238 youth with disabilities were assisted through the program during the last fiscal year.
