More High School Grads Choosing Workforce over College

The FiveThirtyEight website features an article this week suggesting more high school graduates are choosing work over college.  According to the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, just under 66 percent of the graduating class of 2013 attended college last fall.  This is the lowest percentage of graduates since 2006 and the third decline in the past four yearsThe drop in college enrollment is attributed two factors: (1) an improving job market and (2) the rising cost of higher education.
