Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.

Governor Signs Two Mary Lazich Bills Into Law

Wednesday April 23, 2014, Governor Walker signed Senate Bill 504 (SB 504) into law.  SB 504, now known as 2013 Wisconsin Act 337, was brought to my attention by Children’s Court Judge Christopher Foley.  Parents not taking termination of parental rights proceedings seriously and failing to cooperate with simple court orders delayed timely permanent placement for many children.  Act 337 helps to solve the problem while still assuring fair procedures for parents engaged in the process.

Thursday April 24, 2014, Governor Walker signed into law Senate Bill 499 (SB 499), now known as 2013 Wisconsin Act 380.  Act 380 relieves financial stresses for non-profit youth baseball associations by providing property tax exemption for land, personal property, and buildings owned or leased by a non-profit youth baseball association.  Governor Walker signed Senate Bill 499 into law at Wilson Park, Milwaukee, home to Wilson Park Youth Baseball, a non-profit youth baseball association.
