You probably already know that today is February 11 (2/11). You may not be aware that it is National 2-1-1 Awareness Day.  2-1-1 is a free phone access number for information and help.

In Waukesha County, 2-1-1 is supported by Waukesha County and the United Way in Waukesha County. Here's a list of what 2-1-1 offers (WaukeshaCounty.gov )

Information and Referral Services include:

  • General Information and Referral

  • Community Outreach
  • Public Presentations

Intake and Assessment Services include:

  • General Intake and Assessment

Fees are charged for some of these services. Where applicable, such fees are computed according to state ability to pay guidelines.  For additional information contact the Health and Human Services Department at (262) 548-7212 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
