You probably already know that today is February 11 (2/11). You may not be aware that it is National 2-1-1 Awareness Day. 2-1-1 is a free phone access number for information and help.

Fees are charged for some of these services. Where applicable, such fees are computed according to state ability to pay guidelines. 2-1-1 is available to literally anyone who needs help or information. It's a good alternative to calling the 3-digit emergency number when what you really need is a question answered.
