WCT's Reasons to Celebrate this Special Season!

Published on: 12/2/2012

It's that time of year; shopping, visits to Santa, baking, cooking, church choirs and holiday cheer.  WCT has a full December schedule to help you get into the holiday mood and celebrate the season.

First:  The NEW and IMPROVED - yes! - the totally new and improved Candy Cane Tales and Holiday Carols is running weekends through December 16, 2012.  Jes Hancock and Jacob Sudbrink, (Directors) took on the challenging task and came up with a show that is refreshingly enjoyable.  They say, "Our goal with this show was to build upon the fantastic original concept by John Cramer, (WCT's Managing Artistic Director), focusing on relationships with the story that the audience can relate to."

Along with the smooth segues and songs and skits, most not previously seen, they've accomplished their goal.  The result?  "A joyous celebration with your favorite holiday characters...Join our all-age cast for a festive night that will even put a smile on The Grinch."

Next Up:  I Got Yule Babe, December 10 & 13, 2012, 7:00 p.m. both evenings.  "You've never celebrated the holidays like this!  Join local favorite Joel Kopischke and his merry band as he serves up hilarious holiday hits like you've never heard before.  Get ready for the gift of laughter with this night of irreverent and outrageous comedy.  Best enjoyed by ages 13 and up.

Third:  They're back!  WCT once again hosts...Nuncrackers, December 20, 21, & 22, 2012 - General Seating Tickets.  The Little Sisters of Hoboken, this cast both old and new, guarantee you'll have an enjoyable and laughable evening.  Reverend Mother has even written a poem for the occasion.  Ah-hem...

"Those wacky nuns are back for more, with carols, puppets and prizes of door!  Come hear them sing and watch them play, and even do a little ballet!

They're taping this show for the Christmas season, and inviting you all for the very best reason! It's family fun from the holy anointed.  And they promise you won't be disappointed."

And last but not least:  Swingin' with Bing, December 29-31, 2012, by Matthew Zembrowski and Paula Tillen.  "Bing Crosby and holiday season are practically synonymous.  Celebrate with Bing in this loving recreation of his famous holiday radio programs.  His radio and TV specials were eagerly anticipated annual events.  Now, the beloved entertainer comes to WCT in this loving tribute to the legendary crooner starring Matt Zembrowski.  This sparkling bit of yuletide nostalgia is sure to warm the soul on a cold winter's night."

We hope you'll join us for one or more of the WCT holiday and Christmas shows.  It's a great PIX FIX way wind down 2012.  We hope, too, that as John Cramer says, "...you enjoy the stories, the music, the characters, and the sentiment as much as we do.  And remember, if you're looking for a good gift to give this season, consider our PIX 3 for $39...a wonderful gift of theatre to share with anyone!"

Merry Christmas and God bless us, everyone!
