on the fence

I can't decide what I'd rather do next week.

Christmas at Carroll, Sat. and Sun., Dec. first and second, is always something I try to attend. It's an inexpensive way to start off the holiday season with a variety of beautiful choir and orchestral music professionally performed by Carroll students. This year's theme: Mother and Child.

Also at Carroll, though on Tuesday, Dec. fourth and a bit pricier, is Wisconsin Philharmonic's holiday concert, A Royal Christmas. At three times the fee of Christmas at Carroll there are serious reasons to consider this option. First, I love the Philharmonic and haven't heard them since their Waukesha Symphony days. The wonderful concert choirs of Waukesha North and West will be joining them for a few tunes. And, lastly, they'll play a medley of "Titanic" music as one of their selections. I love Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On.

Doing both is out of the question. Don't need Christmas overload and funds underload.

Decisions, decisions...
